Sir Cumference and The Dragon of Pi

“Sir Comference and The Dragon of Pi: A Math Adventure” written Cindy Neuschwander and illustrated Wayne Geehan is the name of the book we read for our last picture book blog this term. This book is a great for kids who are learning how to measure the circumference of a  circle. This book starts off with a king and his son laying under a tree when the king gets sick. He asks his sun, Radius to go get him some medicine. Radius couldn’t find a doctor but he found some medicine that he thought would work. Sir Cumference took the medicine but it turned him into a fire breathing dragon. He asks Radius to go get him some medicine so that he will be human again. The guards see that there is a dragon and they plan to slay the dragon in the morning. Radius goes all over the castle looking for a cure and he then learns how to measure the circumference of a circle. Radius measures his father as soon as the army is about to slay his father. Sir Cumference thanks Radius a lot and they all go back to the castle to celebrate and eat pie. This was a good book to on our last picture book blog this term.
